Animal Welfare Statement

The 2011 National Sheepdog Finals Committee supports the well-being of all animals that participate in the trial. Owners are responsible for properly caring for and managing their animals at all times during the trial. The 2011 National Sheepdog Finals Committee does not tolerate, condone or permit actions that abuse animals. In the rare event of an injury to an animal during the trial, the animal will be provided prompt veterinary attention and protected from further harm. Every attempt is made to insure the injured animal is comfortable. To help it recover, it is dismissed from further participation in the trial. Any person concerned about an animal’s welfare is encouraged to immediately contact the 2011 National Sheepdog Finals Committee at 970-210-1125.
