General Information

What

2011 National Sheepdog Finals – USBCHA (United States Border Collie Handlers Association) The event will feature 225 top qualifying Border Collies from the United States and Canada. Handler and dog teams will square off with Colorado’s capricious range yearlings for eight days of competition to determine the 2011 National Sheepdog Champion and 2011 National Nursery Sheepdog Champion.

Tuesday, September 13 through Sunday, September 18, 2011.

Who

The event will be co-hosted by Strang Ranch, Aspen Valley Land Trust (AVLT) along with the 2011 National Sheepdog Finals Committee. The partnership of AVLT, Strang Ranch and the National Sheepdog Finals is a natural fit. AVLT has conserved Strang Ranch’s iconic meadows in conservation easement which will prevent future development. AVLT will be the primary benefiting charitable organization for the 2011 National Sheepdog Finals, and amongst other benefits will receive the entire proceeds from ticket sales.


Sponsorship

Sponsorship opportunities include advertising in trial program, dog sponsorships and major event sponsorships. Sponsorships are deductible ordinary business (advertising) expenses as provided in the Internal Revenue Service Code. Note that Aspen Valley Land Trust (AVLT) is also accepting Charitable Donations for the 2011 National Sheepdog Finals. However, sponsorship benefits do not apply for those charitable donations.
