The event is a unique partnership between the Strang Ranch, the United States Border Collie Handler's Association(USBCHA), and the Aspen Valley Land Trust (AVLT). Special events and attractions associated with the 2011 National Sheepdog Finals currently include events downtown Friday and Saturday evenings – September 16th & 17th, 2011. Friday Night will feature “Cowboy Up” -- a benefit event for a local Carbondale Charity and includes an outdoor concert and VIP tent, & ticket information will follow. Saturday will feature “Community Appreciation” night will include a free outdoor concert, a FREE community barbeque and street fair. Invitations are extended to local Carbondale citizenry, along with the participants and spectators of the 2011 National Sheepdog Finals.


Join us as Carbondale rolls out the welcome mat for the 2011 National Sheepdog Finals!!


Additionally, we will include: educational demonstrations of weaving, spinning & more; daily food & craft fair; lamb cooking demonstrations; private receptions; outdoor music; dog demonstrations; rescue displays for regional border collie rescue groups; information and education on guardian livestock dogs; and fun for the entire family.
