Spectator Information

Welcome spectators to the annual North American Sheepdog Competition coming to Carbondale, Colorado in 2011!

Working Border Collies have long been an invaluable part of American ranch life. Sheepdog trialing, although a long-time weekend avocation for British farmers, is still a relatively new event in North America. Between September 13 and September 20 of 2011, attendees of the National Sheepdog Finals will have a rare opportunity to see some of the finest stockmen and women and working Border Collies in the United States and Canada. In addition to the Trial, visitors can expect to see demonstrations of spinning and weaving, spinning and painting, lamb cooking competitions, outdoor concerts, sheep and dog handling demonstrations, guardian livestock dogs, and many more events.
